2nd August 2017 Interior Design Signature Styling

Social media promotes flick of the finger interior finds, which may suit your mood of the moment, but aren’t always built to last.

At Style The Home we are privileged to download the latest trend bulletins from our interior design members. Subscribe to your newest style below.

What’s your angle on geometric styling?

With the modern renaissance of Art Deco styling, geometric design is craftily weaving through console tables, expansive hall runners and soft furnishings. And the interior designers at GB Homes and Rethink Interiors are glad that geometric shapes have gone full circle.

Based in Cheshire, Essex and the South, GB Homes bring an instantly recognisable aesthetic to your interior. Their signature styling blends natural materials with darker accents. Perhaps leaning towards an ambience of male sophistication, geometrics are subtly introduced in plush floorings and overhead lighting.

Come and Meet the team at Rethink Interiors. Founder and director Kate Martin, exhibits an all encompassing holistic approach in all her projects. Fuelled by her experience in commercial interior design, Kate illustrates how to think about the balance and emphasis of a space in the home.

Whilst braving a bold marble geometric flooring in a recent project for Hilton Hotels, Kate sensitively dilutes her love of grandeur to ensure a more liveable style for residential clients.

Honestly beautiful interiors, harness the power of nature

Bringing the outside in, need not equate to flower and flora. Indeed natural materials can take a tougher stance, as these interior designers show us how to.

Leigh Davies at Optimist Design champions the concept of interiors which reflects the personalities of those who use the space. Her use of brick wallpapers helps create an honest backdrop on which to build. It lends an industrial, loft living inspired vibe which is refreshingly imperfect.

If your penchant for the shabby and the chic has worn as thin as your reclaimed carpet, perhaps we should look to a more traditional and elegant styling. And who better than Rebecca Dupere who trained at the highly acclaimed Inchbald School of Design in London. Based in the beautiful South Hams, Dupere Design harnessed the skills of a local craftsman to create a bespoke panelled music room, as part of a restoration project. Browse their gallery

Boutique Bedroom Spaces

Interior Designer Gina Everett, founder of Create Perfect, demonstrates a range of style inspirations in her portfolio. There is a distinct love of natural materials, again exposed brickwork and chunky farmhouse tables, softened by the careful placement of flowers.

However, Style The Home are focussing on the indulgence associated with creating boutique styled bedrooms, within your home. It’s something Gina does effortlessly. Muted shades, dark accents and pops of colour encourage a clean sleeping environment to rival any top end boutique hotel.

Palettes of varying shades of grey, pop with bursts of electric blue. Textures are diverse and patterns are plentiful but subtle. A clear through line is evident in the ensuite bathroom, complete with chrome accessories and dark cabinetry.

Style The Home celebrate the unique signature styling of Interior Designers. We are always on the look out for new talent, so if you feel you have something new to bring to the table… let us know.
